Fairwayz Fillies

MABS Cancer Support Group was one of the Fairwayz Fillies’, nominated charities for 2010 and Bob Clayton, MABS Coordinator in La Marina, was thrilled to accept a cheque for Euro 750 from Yvonne Hood on Thursday, 13^th January when her met with the group at the FairwayZ Bar.

The ladies who make up the Fillies were very keen to see what we do and Bob made a short presentation to the group. He then received questions about MABS and the work we do.

A PowerPoint version of the January Newsletter, The Supporter, was then displayed on continuous loop for the rest of the afternoon, on four large TV screens around the Fairwayz Bar. This way the ladies could get a fuller picture of what MABS is all about’; the fundraising opportunities that are possible, our three Charity Shops and ‘who’s who’ at MABS are among other items.

Bob was thrilled when at the end of the time spent with the ladies’, they told him that MABS would once again be one of their charities in 2011.
